ALERT: It’s not too late to submit your work for the Stonewall competition!
March, 2012: Owing to BhB’s having received a relatively small number of eligible submissions to the Stonewall chapbook competition during the current round, the deadline to submit has been extended to May 15, 2012. Judging will take place June-August 2012, with the winner for 2012-13 to be announced in the early fall. In order to speed manuscripts on their rounds of preliminary judges, we urge you to submit your work BOTH ON PAPER AND ELECTRONICALLY. This applies to those mss. already submitted as well as to new submissions. (New submitters should consult the guidelines below.)
Background
This division of BrickHouse Books is dedicated to publishing poetry from an LBGT perspective. In addition to publishing book-length manuscripts, Stonewall also runs an annual chapbook competition. The deadline is August 15. The prize is publication of the chapbook.
Submission requirements:
- 20-30 page manuscript of poetry or short fiction
- $20 entry fee
- S.A.S.E.
