Very pleased to be in such distinquished company. Thanks Lorraine and Markell for a wonderful meeting place. Meeting Judge Boothe, the Judge who sentenced me, was my highlight for the evening. Why? I cannot imagine reaching the level of my education without the prison time I used to read and write. My writing skills were honed by letters to more than 150 persons, including 75 pen pals, 21 embassies at United Nations, public officials, and prison organizations. I gained the ability to write business documents, legal documents, and creative writing, as well as grant writing.
